ALISON DAVIS IN BLACK SUNDRESS VIDEO – CHRISTOPHER JACKSON DIRECTING

We were really fortunate to have actress Alison Davis featured in the “Black Sundress” video.Besides being in our Reverend Charisma Video, she’s also been on the television series Dawson’s Creek, and films such as Martin Lawrence’s Black Knight,Neutral Corners, Mary Jane’s Last Dance, and is also well seasoned in theater. She’s a consummate professional with a deep-seated passion and hunger for her craft. When I met her in our community theater group I not only found her to be stunning with a strong presence; she was also approachable and easy to work with. We were also blessed with the skill and direction of up and coming videographer Christopher Jackson.

I had loads of fun writing the story-line with Chris because like Aly, he’s professional and directs with a sense of purpose.I knew how I wanted the video to appear and Chris respected that while also being able to interject his own signature and style of directing.It was a deeply gratifying experience. I cannot forget to mention my band-mates Lee and Baxter for being such good sports about shooting it in the first place. They have shown nothing but support for the ideas I pitch to them. With the old line up I couldn’t advance much in the way of ideas because there was almost always a deliberate unwillingness to try anything. I was proud of this single’s end result, but my hands were tied on releasing it because of the stilted production and a lack of lead time on trying to promote it. I always believed in this tune, and I am thankful to have had such good people to work with on bringing it out in the form of a video.Of course all the people involved with the various locations like Charlie from El Rodeo Grill, Brenda at the Six Forks apartment complex, and Virginia from The Studio are to be thanked profusely.
Then I also won’t fail to mention the people like Julie who helped in coordinating the shoots and appearing as an extra just to support the project along with David Behuniak and his friends as well. I can’t forget Paula Snyder either,because she was the liaison between Chris and me before the project began.I feel really proud of this track and think we can do some things with it.
